If you are looking for the recipe for the dog treats we hand out with our information, here it is!
3/4 cup hot water
1/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit.
In large mixing bowl, pour hot water over the margarine. Stir in the powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Mix in heavy duty mixer or with your hands a few minutes to form a stiff dough. Pat or roll out to 1/4 - 1/2 inches thick. Cut out bone shapes or just cut up into the size you want with a pizza cutter. (This saves a lot of time.) Bake approximately 50 minutes. Let cool, then place in an airtight bag and store in a cool, dry place. They will dry out quite hard. Makes about 1 lb of biscuits. (You can use a heavy duty mixer and double the recipe.)
